Andrew Symonds is at fault himself

Well said.No excuses for racist behaviour.

And rememeber that this is not the 1st time Indian crowds have made racist comments.Dillon & his wife had to cop a lot during a test at Mumbai. If this continues, those test centres should be banned from international matches.
A few idiots cause trouble and the other 99% pay the price? Just throw the morons out

First of all, Symonds is an annoying person and he needs to shut his mouth. I can't stand him anymore.

With that said, I don't care what he said, or who he provoked, the comments were completely over the top and unjustified. Completely not excusable and you certainly can't give those baboons in the crowd a pass by blaming Symonds.

I don't care what he did - it is never justified to resort to racist calls.

Australian supporters had to put up with the idea that we apparently have the only racist crowds in the world - a
Could you tell me when people said this? Most just said that Australia seemed to have more of a problem than anyone else. And based on the touring parties say, that seems to be true.

Yup, remove the stadiums from the international circuit. After two years of no income, the local boards will come up with a way to stop the crap.
Like? I'm not condoning racism in any form but you're not going to stop it, and you can say it's a defeatist attitude and it probably is in a way, but it's the truth. You may be able to contain it, but there's no way to stop a bigot buying a ticket to a cricket match. That in itself is almost bigotry.

Put 1-2 security guards near the boundary whenever a player is fielding. About 15 guys would be more than enough. They just shadow the fielding players near the boundary behind the stadium. Any abuse gets a rifle butt to the face. Would stop it pretty quickly.

No. Racial abuse is different from a controversy.

I just don't know why people are discounting the possibility that the controversies that Symonds had been part of contributed to what happened at Vadodara ?

As I said Before I don't JUSTIFY what happened. I just feel Symonds was setting himself up to get a big cop out much in the way that I feel Sreesanth will probably get it this summer in Australia.
In both cases, the players concerned could have made things easier for themselves

Whatever happened to the virtue of keeping your trap shut and getting on with the job ? Avoiding trouble where you could ??

He will cop some crap from the crowd but if it is racist than that is not right and should be dealt with

You can't stop it, you can try and control it, but you can't punish everyone:-O
There should be zero tolerance for racism.Ban a stadium for 5 years if it happens. That will be the biggest deterrent and will make sure the stadium authorities take more steps to ensure that it doesn't happen.

Why? If the board is unwilling to do anything about it, even though they can, then it should be punished. I certainly wouldn't want to play at a venue like that as a player. I wouldn't mind one bit if teams boycotted stadiums like Vadodara, Adelaide, etc.
