Even though the team would be inferior to a team that they could field? It'd be very un-sensible to field a weaker team, due to one bowler's lack of pace.

Guys like Hafeez has no future, Pakistan keep picking him up thinking that if he fails with bat, then atleast he can bowl and take wkts.

Unless Faisal comes good in second innings, i hope Pak dump Hafeez, Faisal and Akmal from the team

inzi and yousuf and surfaraz in for hafeez, faisal and kamran akmal

shoaib should open with butt while younis play in three fallowed by inzi, yousuf and masbah ul haq

Because he'd had limited opportunities in the test team and actually started well against England and the West Indies. He had a bad series in South Africa, but the fact that fans want him dropped after one bad series and one bad game after starting so well is the attitude that has stopped Pakistan having any sort of stability at all. Give him a proper run.

Isnt Mohd Hafeez one of the few guys technically equipped to deal with Test cricket ? Why on earth would you want to kick him on the verge of reform, when you are likely to have Inzi back for just about one or two more series and it doesnt affect him in any event. Faisal Iqbal is also very sound technically, the only player who seems to look rather daft is currently Akmal because his confidence is lost and he looks like a lost boy.

describ "proper run"... how many more test innings... with this test match... he played eight innings in which he failed to make a big score... his one day game is dire and same with twenty twenty versian of the game.,, he was in the twenty team cuz of his bowling... not that he is going score afew runs....

give him a couple of more matches... i bet u would find him the way he is right now.. with no big score under his name...

Yeah i agree, i would like Sarfraz to be given a chance (Akmal has been given enough chances).Also Misbah should be given more chances to establish himself.

Jesus, that was a great effort from Amla. He isn’t the greatest of shorts legs but that was a spectacular catch.

But no surprises to see Butt and Hafeez back in the pavilion so early, the quicker Pakistan write of Mohammed Hafeez the better. His dismissal today should automatically lead to a spell in the wilderness, shocking batting for a guy who apparently has a decent technique. Although, maybe playing two feet away from your body is text book…

And the period just before that was fantastic. Even the best players have dry runs. Do Chappell's ducks mean anything to you? Pakistan's obsession with constantly changing the team does a lot more harm than good. Yousuf will come in Iqbal (unless he gets a score) in the next game and that is fine. But you need to give this opening combination a chance instead of just going back to the revolving door..

You could well be right. But he's been selected and thus he should be given a proper run before being shown the door too early and then having to be recalled later because "he was dropped too early".

what is the point of having a good technic when u can't use it to score runs and safe ur team from sutiations like these.... as far as his well equipped technic goes.... that was proven today with they type of shot he got out with..

Akhtar? Not a bad shout, underrated batsman... Kaneria could also be an option, unlike Faisal Iqbal and Mohammed Hafeez, Danish now gets in line with the ball.

what about trying tafeeq umer or yasir hameed... they have been in a good form recently... they played really well against Aus's A team,

Inzi would be brought back either for a lone Lahore farewell test match OR his in case of PCB getting panicky over Pak big loss to SA in first test, Inzi would be given extended run in the team.In two series Inzi would do enough to cement his place in the team and to go on to play for another 1-2 years. So its either going to be just one match or a couple of years.
