In all fairness, Nasses normally speaks the opposite of the truth.

Tendulkar looked unlucky there, not sure yet.
I mentioned Nassser only because my word was questioned. I dont need Nasser to tell me when there is a gap between bat and ball. I am watching on a 120 inch screen.

Tendulkar's was closer though not out. The Dravid decision was worse of the two.

What ?? You are kidding.
I wasnt sure when I saw it in real time, and then from the angles I saw it didnt look like it was out, and hotspot was inconclusive.
But they showed sniko and a close-up in the next over and from that it looked very much out, so I had to retract my decision :)
So I'm not kidding, more just a terrible armchair umpire:laugh:

Bad luck the ball clearly missed everything including the bats edge.
Snicko clearly suggests that bat hit ball on Dravids dismissal. Unlucky.

Tendulkar decision appears wrong though, the noise was apparently bat on pad. Would like to see hotspot though.

The ball didn't even deviate, it kept its line, angling in. Look at where Prior took the catch. Its fairly obvious he didn't hit it.

:(

Looking at it again, Tendulkar decision was pretty awful.

I wouldn't have been able to tell in real time though, and these decisions happen all the time, so no point moaning.

Have umpires forgotten that they have to be 100% sure that a batsman is out before dismissing them?

How could Dar be sure?

Dravid was out, Tendulkar definitely not.

Great shame if thats Tendulkars last international innings in England:(

Also fairly poor if it helps decide this very close series, as well.:(

Boos and more boos ring out (on the ground) after replays on the big screen. Looks like bat did hit the pad. Dravid is not happy.

15.4 Flintoff to Tendulkar, OUT, gone, but how! Flintoff pitches full again, outside off stump, Tendulkar drives loosely, bat misses ball completely, instead the bat clips the pad as he goes through with the shot, they appeal for the catch from Prior and Aleem Dar pulls off a shocking dismissal! Wow, there was no bat on ball whatsoever and Tendulkar is livid. Another bad dismissal in this long summer of competitive cricket.

No point going on about it, but I think both were not out. Tendulkar's far far more obvious though. That was a bad decision.

We have seen before when a bat hitting pad hasbeen construed by those lookingat snicko as bat hitting ball.. The snicko doesnt tell what made the sound.

Posting Cricinfo commentary isn't going to prove you are right on the Dravid dismissal I'm afraid.
No it doesnt. I want to see if anyone else other than poster/s is saying that it WAS out.

If not then lets forget it.

As far as I remember it was quite clear the bat did not hit the pad after looking at replay. I could be wrong though.
