Wright should have opened instead of Prior who's useless wherever he bats.

England must be the only team that gets bogged down when mediocre slower bowlers come on during the power plays.

Whatever it takes!!!
Hmm, that's a surprise ... Uthappa in. Anyways, have to get some sleep. :@
bad move, IMHO. packing ur side with 4 openers is just not on. If they needed to play the extra batter, Karthik should have been the man, esp. since he never gets opportunities on good tracks as the guys before him all tend to do well. stupid selection, tbh.

Paul Collingwood is making huge hue and cry over his dismissal, though he was run out but the umpire didn't call for the 3rd umpire and declared him not out, but after seeing the replay on the gaint screen he changed his mind and called for the 3rd umpire and then he was given out.
Pathetic umpiring there!

Utterly brain dead stuff from England.

64-2 after 13, 2 mediocre slower bowlers on. England then somehow manage to be 83-4 after 17.3 it's an absolute joke. Any other top 8 team would now be 100-3 on a bad day.

Would hardly call Piyush Chawla mediocre, sure he's unproven but the talent is immense and he is bowling very well.

Whats wrong with England they are playing every delivery Chawla has bowled looking for turn but all he is bowling is top-spinners, only ball that he gets some turn of is the wrong'un.

ya he is mediocre compared to the great leg spinners England has produced :)

20.4 Piyush Chawla to Pietersen, 3 runs, drifts onto middle and Pietersen goes down and brings out a fine lap-sweep, the ball runs towards the fine-leg boundary, but Powar sprints around (honest) and pulls off a fine diving save

:)

The Collingwood dismissal is baffling. Why did Peter Hartley not call for the 3rd umpire in the first case, it was close enough in full motion to warrant another look at it. The fact is, the right decision was reached, he was run out, however, does this mean that for every close decision there is, the umpires are going to wait and watch the big screen ? And if there is no big screen ? Colly was rightly bemused by what happened, it should not have happened.

Shouldn't Wright have come ahead of Shah?
Personally I think no, Shah is a specialist batsman and deserves the greater length of time at the crease to build an innings, I also think with Wright's ability to hit the ball, he could be a pivotal figure in the dying overs.
