Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
No they don't. Stop making an issue where there is none. People are disappointed at the decision, that's all.
Agreed, it's just natural annoyance, at a potential ton for a legend.

I must admit I now relise why I dislike limited-overs so much nowadays, Freddie can only bowl ten, whilst if he bowled about twenty, we may have half a chance:unsure:

Dont think its gonna be sachin's day tomorrow
Hey, you were right. It wasn't his day, he was given out incorrectly on 99!

That's 99 runs off 112 deliveries

Fifteen 4s.

One big 6.

Yep... not his day at all. Only 99 runs.

Someone on TMS said the replay was inconclusive. Sky keep showing it from different angles. Benefit of the doubt, though ...

Hotspot clearly showed it was off the arm. Like it is very clear, and I the commentators havde said as much. I am not sure how there is any doubt tbh. If Cricinfo and the radio are reporting the replay to be inconclusive, then I am extremely confused at how they could come to that conclusion considering what I've seen with my own eyes on the TV.

That being said, Sachin's 99 was still a very entertaining one. India need to kick on now.

Good cahnce they will with our bowling attack. I know Monty hasn't got wickets but you need vairation - its a case of "change the bowler, not the bowling". And Sky commentators say Mascarenas goes at a run a ball in domestic cricket on this ground..he'll need to improve to keep that up. Remind me why we pick him? At least Bopara's figures are OK....but why is Tremlett back on?

?

If that's at the Sachin decision, its clear as crystal from the replays it came off the arm, and was fairly obvious when watching it live too.
Yes it was about the decision, unfortunately I am not watching the game, so posted what Cricinfo said.

Cricinfo :-

"The crowd has started applauding already. Hold on .. he is not yet reached his ton

31.3 Flintoff to Tendulkar, OUT, Would you believe it? Tendulkar has gone for 99. Done in by a screamer of a bouncer. It kicked up from short of length and reared shoulder high. Tendulkar tried to fend it away, got his hands in front of his face and the ball seemed to have gone off his arm guard -- though no conclusive evidence was available from television replays --- down the leg side for Prior to take it. They let out a huge appeal and the fatal finger goes up. Tendulkar looks bemused. A wry grin, a shake of head and he walks back. Did it brush the gloves? The replays don't confirm or deny that.

SR Tendulkar c Prior b Flintoff 99 (112b 15x4 1x6) SR: 88.39 "

Might be bcoz, seamers fare better than spinners on this pitch. They thought of playing a seamer than spinner. And, The other reason might be Tremlett can bat as the ground has produced some high scoring games.

Dravid working his magic on the runrate. That guy seriously lacks an ODI brain.
I think he missed a trick here by not sending in Dhoni, but I would probably disagree with your second statement only because he has proven before that he can shuffle up the order when he needs to. I can't explain why he didn't send Dhoni in this time.

With that said, he is still going at 80 S/R and his thought might have been to stick up one end while telling Yuvraj and everyone else to follow to hit out at the other.

Wtf? He's one of the (if not the) best in the Indian ODI team for playing according to the situation. Over the last few years he's excelled at batting in the last 10 to 15 overs.

OK OK guys, I take the second statement back, it was out of frustration after seeing the SRT dismissal and the fact the runrate started to suffer for a while.

Agreed with SS, I wanted Dhoni or Karthik in at this stage
