Slowing down now, but I don't really care. I'd much rather see the two of them bat the 50 overs and get the job done rather than exposing my rather ****e middle order.

Easy thrashing of the bottom side, who are 1-8

Oh, ****ing hell.

End of Over 1: 1-2, runrate=1.00
Holly 1-0-1-2
Janes* 1 (2 balls)
Liebenberg 0 (1 balls)

Bromby and Platt go for ducks in one over? Balls to this. Much like last week, it's Janes or nowt. And much like last week, it's probably going to be nowt. Sigh.

Got put into bat on a flat wicket, sunny conditions.

End of Over 27: 139-1, runrate=5.15
Zithulele 7-0-32-0
Obrien* 67 (83 balls)
Armstrong 70 (73 balls)

Last Wicket: Packer c. Lewins b. Gregory 1 (FOW: 1/1)

Obrien just out now, but I'm happy about that because he only has mediocre stamina and Wheat usually scores rapidly at 4 if he stays in.

Very easy and comfortable win for me.

And that's the end of the match. Alternative XI won by 8 wickets.
Members XI 72-10
Alternative XI 75-2

Bowled them out for 70 odd, Meyer taking 6-15, then chased it down to win by 10 wickets...again.

League table looks quite amusing,
Code:

For some reason, my opponent put his two best batsmen (both >130k BTR) in the tail...he probably thought I was an easy game and wanted to rest them a bit.

I've bowled them out for 164 on a cracked pitch, having had them at 3/4 after a couple of overs.

Can I chase it? Well, I'm up against a Remarkable seam attack, and that's with FIVE seam bowlers -- two of whom are proper numpties.

Usual bollocks at the end, scored 9 off the last two overs (or 16 off the last 3 overs). That's facing two medium pacers on a sunny, flat wicket with an old ball - hmm can't you just picture Jon Lewis being unhittable at the death when he plays at a place like Taunton?

Playing TIE for the first time ever against a new side in my league. I play 2nd next week and want to be able to GFI to maximise my chances of being unbeaten all season (I beat them by 1 run earlier this season at my place). I'm also playing on a dusty pitch for the first time, in readiness for facing their decent spinners on a dusty wicket next week.

The Heath CC: 330/3 (50)
saif10: 27/1 (6.3)

Looking forward to seeing how my spinners go...

Made a frankly rubbish 187-10 on a slow pitch in humid weather, and while I had my opponents at 29-3 to give myself a chance, my spinner is now going at 9 an over while I quietly cry to myself in a corner. Looks like second place is going to come down to net run rate...

Looks like were heading for another win.

The Heath CC: 330/3 (50) Thorpe 92 (73), Sutton 84 (92), Gardiner 65* (69), Grant 50 (49)
saif10: 128/10 (30.3) Nolan 4/9 (5)

The Heath CC win by 202 runs.

Walk in the park today, playing on a TIE. Thorpe got MOTM for his second career 50 and highest score to date after making 52* last week. It's a pity he couldn't go on to get his century, but all of the top 4 made half centuries, which I'm pretty pleased with.

Woods continued his impressive start to his career with 2 wickets in his opening spell, before the spinners cleaned up the tail - Nolan was by far the pick of the bowlers with 4/9 from 5 overs, whilst Connelly chipped in with 2/37 (8)

My stats are all the same on a TIE as they are on PAN, so I'm hoping that one or two of them are close to moving on a level.

Looking forward to next week's game against Camberwell Carrots now - feeling pretty confident that I should win it on a GFI and finish the season with maximum points.

Five wicket loss in the end, a late brace for Pead failing to spark the collapse that would've saved me. Well, that's my season. Easy TIE/PAN wins from now on, which should get me 2nd place on NRR. Next season should be an interesting three-way battle for first place, if our league leader is lame and chucks his playoff again.

Scraped home by 5 runs, they needed over 8 an over from the last 18 and nearly did it. Summers only picked up two wickets later on during his 5 death overs, Dillon didn't pick up any. Ridiculous that they got so close.

How`d you go?

One of my best wins today. Means I`ll finish no worse than 6th, which is awesome. Would love to finish 5th, but would be a pipedream. Glad I went on GFI.

Brackenhurst - 320/5 (50 overs)
Hamlin 109 (98)
Read 93 (82)
Piet 1/47 (10)

beat

Achmid`s Soul - 291/4 (50 overs)
Holsgrove 108 (107)
Bastianpillai 77 (98)
Saunders 45* (22)
Lake 0/47 (10)
Smart 1/51 (10)

Really don`t think I could be doing much of a better job in my league. Top Order competent for the first time and my two trainees popping to Respectable. Have three matches coming up now where I`ll get thrashed, and then the big one.

On another note, I think Cricketweb users` support for BT teams other than their own is really pathetic. At least feign some interest.
