Cricket's most over rated players

How is Dhoni over rated ? Every Indian knows he needs tp prove himself outside the subcontinent, and there is even talk of him being dropped so Karthik can keep in tests. Envy, one feels.

I feel that some may be confusing people getting excited about the potential in players with the actual 'rating' of them. Also Tests and ODIs should be specified ie with Lee, he may be overrated in Tests but I reckon he is quite underrated, by some at least, in ODIs. And this topic has been done a thousand times tbh.

Yeah but Watson's still overated....so's Brad Hogg ffs

I think you'd be hard pressed to find anybody who rated Afridi tbh (apart from pakistani supporters).

I don't think he's over rated personally. Fantastic ODI batsman and good gloveman in both forms, his Test batting need to improve though.

Not sure about Lee tbh. Always been an extremely good one day bowler and not a bad test bowler. I've always thought people have underrated his test bowling in the last 2 years.

Same with Mo Ashraful tbh. Whenever he plays a good innings he's considered to be some sort of great batsmen...total overreaction.

I disagree, I think most people realise that Ashraful has the potential but lacks the concentration and consistency. They usually are just frustrated that such a player, who could be a very good batsman, lacks the mental application, and as such talk about his potential rather than his actual performances.

Was mainly talking about his Test bowling, which is average. Been fairly good over the last few years, but not as good as people (usually commentators) have suggested.

They're still cricket fans though mate. I've seen quite a few grown men claiming Afridi to be great also, he is practically worshipped in Pakistan from what I can see.

I highly doubt casual watchers under 15 or teenage girls smitten by his looks chose the World ODI XI for the super series.
