Looks like Maharoof and Tharanga would be playing in the 3rd test. Hopefully Dilshan would make way for Tharanga and not one of the openers.

The same Tillekeratne Dilshan who is averaging almost 40 in the series? Surely they would be better off dropping Chamara Silva if they really wanted Tharanga to bat in the middle order, which I doubt they will. What they should do is either drop Silva or rest Sangakarra and drop Warnapura down to #3, where he usually bats, leaving a batting lineup looking like this:

Dilshan threw away his wicket that kind of irresponisble batting deserves the chop, Its a hars line up to get into being a senior he should have known better, Silva was unlucky in the test and relative newcomer to the whites so he should be kept in the team and i will not be botherd if sujeeva silva dont play afterall how many times is he going to turn up? rather than giving him a token test cap its better off with maha he is the future.

Why would you drop a guy who can score a century against a Test quality attack, why not drop someone who can't score double figures. Bat Warnapura at 3 and bat Sangakkara where ever he needs to rest up and keep. Pretty short sighted to drop someone on the back of a couple bad knocks in two tests, when he came in and the team needed no runs. Also it would be the same in dropping Dilshan, he was just having fun out there, its not like he was really contentrated. He didn't need to focus too hard to score runs against this attack.

He copped a bad decsion when he was on 33, got given out caught at slip when he missed it and it rebounded off the keeper.

Well Ashantha de mel has announced that Dilhara fernando, Malinda Warnapura and Chaminda Vass make way for Sujeeva De silva, Fraveez Maharoof and Upul Tharanga.

Kandy is a venue Murali has a awesome record 96 wickets at 17, but lanka's least succesful venue in terms of results.

I am dissapointed they stood down Dilhara Malinda, Dilhara is bowling beautifully then why rest him? Malinga however needs a rest with his action but the argument is that Mali hasnt been that consistent and been having No ball issues.

Anyhow once again i hope Bangladesh can provide a challenge here hope Bashar and Ashraful and rahim can stand up and Mashrafe and Rafique can play to their potential which they havent been doing.

We (Lanka) win the toss we bat regardless of conditions just my view.

Can't see the 'Deshis making much more than 200 tbh. According to cricinfo the pitch looks to be a good 'un for the seamers, so can't see them lasting long against the pace of Malinga. Muralitharan should also take plenty on this wicket.

Trust me, if I was selecting the team then Sangakarra would have the gloves in every game and Prasanna Jayawardene would be nowhere near the team, but I'm not so I think you'll just have to deal with it

I'm a big Bashar supporter but I can't see him lasting too long if he doesn't make runs in domestic cricket, considering he is out of the ODI equation hopefully forever.
