Not sure many people did expect miracles from Black with the number of Internationals in the side coupled with the suspensions.

If you'd told them we wouldn't have Patrick, Cloete, Pickup, Markus and Goughy for the first quarter, I daresay 95% would've predicted nothing more than what eventuated. Squads are fine when they're full strength, but we were always going to struggle carrying two suspensions and with a CT so early in the season. No real secret IMO.

Yeah i realise that, but back say 2 months ago, when we didn't know the CT would be on, the talk was not about if black would win, it was about how much black would win by. But as you said, the CT, suspensions & an an untimely injury to Patrick, all happening during the 1st quarter, it's no real surprise after all.

TBH, the Colts came into this season with bigger expectations than the Blacks.
