Semi Finals

Haha. Most of my friends have Foxtel, but none of them really like cricket that much, so I doubt they'd appreciate me being at their house till 3 am or so.
Bring an offering of pizza, can't go far wrong. They can go to bed while you stay glued to the screen.

Yes, a bit nervous. United playing today as well in the semis of the Champions League means I'll be channel hopper master supreme. After NZ lost the league, yachting and cricket in the weekend and United drew at Old Trafford, I'm hoping for big things from both teams. I don't think I could take more losing.

Any people from Sri Lanka and New Zealand starting to feel nerves about the semi final? I know I sure am!
If we (NZ) win, we win. If we loseI will just go about life as normal. Nothing to be nervous about. I will be very happy if NZ win, but if we lose I will be able to work over the weekend and earn some much needed dosh.

Translation - rpc fernando - accuses me of being back boneless Sri Lankan.

I replied that his posts are making SriLankans perceived in a pretty mediocre way in this forum.

Hmmmm, a binge isnt any different than the last month for me really. Pretty much a month long binge.

If we win I'm gonna be in a little trouble. Im supposed to be working from Saturday. 12 hour days for like 9 days (7am-1pm, 4pm-10pm). In order to watch the game I'm gonna have to skip a nights sleep. And doing the job just on normal sleep is hard enough.

I'm sorry Jason, but you have got to have alot of time in your hands to bully someone over the internet. It involves no exposure of self, and you are risking nothing. If you think you are some badass, think again. Its so sad that people got bullied so much on the internet that they killed themselves.

So much to catch up on in the last few hours - and so much of it is terrible. Aside from SJS's post, which summed up my thoughts, although personally, if NZ has to bat first, we're done for, as far as I'm concerned.

Which brings up an interesting point really, if this broke into a bit of biffo.

Who would win? Bats and balls are included of course.

Half the New Zealand team are giants, and McCullum looks fiesty. Sri Lanka wouldn't have stood a chance if Lou "Looks like a bulldog" Vincent was there.

I think in a big televised fight.

New Zealand $1.40

Sri Lanka $2.60
I have actually seen McCullum in a fight - outside a Dunedin bar in 2000. Like a true South Dunedin battler, he used clever tactics, by baiting the other guy, before Bazza's mates came in from the side with fists and feet flying. Anyhoo...

No when I come home Lara Bingle will ask me: SO WHERE THE BLODDY HELL ARE YOU?? 8-)
Congratulations - you have a TV.

Australia Vs South Africa the preview

Australia's win over New Zealand was not just a win, its a statement for whoever plays them in the Semi Finals and possible Final. Win convincingly. Australia are two wins away from retaining the world cup, two more games for crickets greatness. Anyone standing in Australia's way will be dealt with very severely. I'm not sure whether to be nervous or not. I'm even contemplating not getting up to watch it (it's only 4 hours away from starting anyway) as I reckon I'm a bad luck charm.

Don't suppose you know a guy called Rodgie?

Again, personal accusations, keep them out of this thread... there's no need to have any further discussion on the matter, especially not here in this thread. Stick to the semifinals, people, they're only a few hours away!
