How truly strange... you've never said that the English domestic system is unreliable for judging how a player will go in international cricket?

If so, I must be imagining rather a lot of posts.
Doesn't mean I want it reforming, nor that I don't support a county!

Their bowling attack is right up there IMO along with Sussex and Lancashire.Gough,Hoggard,Gillespie,Bresnan and Rashid is excellent.
Hoggard's not really likely to be playing much, Bresnan's not too hot and Rashid is largely unproven. Equally, "up there with Lancashire" isn't too hard either.

Nah. Not unless Rashid averages like <20 a wicket this season, in which case he'd get picked for England anyway. Lancashire will have Murali and Sussex have Naved and Mushtaq to do all the work.

It may only have been a draw for Somerset but they often lose matches at the start of the season, so this is a big improvement!

Awful start for Lancashire in the C&G game, but what do you expect when you leave out Tom Smith for a guy with a career ER of six and a half and an average over 50.

If Smith isn't injured(he's been listed in both the squads and i haven't heard anything) I don't know what the management are thinking

Simon Jones 1-28 off four at the moment against somerset. got the wicket of trescothick, great to see him back, awful place to make a comeback for a bowler mind, down at taunton.

Was wondering if we were going to see him back in action, hope he has a good start to the season.

Seems Tom Smith, Gary Keedy and Stuart Law are all injured, with Dominic Cork suspended and Hodge, Murali, Flintoff, Anderson and Mahmood at the WC thats quite an absentee list.

Lancashire getting humiliated at the moment, it's one thing being 26-5, but it's another thing entirely being 26-5 against Worcestershire with Bollinger (2-12) and Kabir Ali (3-9) doing the damage.

Big win for Durham against Leicestershire - very nice.

Good to have him back playing again, he could have made a big difference in the World Cup with his reverse swing on those abrasive pitches.
I agree, people slag him off as a one day player but they forget he's only play 23 one day matches for Glamorgan and 8 odi.

Key season for aspiring England keeper's, Jason Gillespie if he wants any chance of playing test cricket for Australia again & Ali Rashid, a solid season for him will definately see him on winter tours to the sub-continent.

O..K... I could've sworn you'd said you wanted the latter several times, and cannot ever recall you mentioning your support for a county, so simply allowed assumption to take it's course...

My apologies, then.
