'Tendulkar should consider quitting' by Ian chappel

Bowling at 95 mph hasn't made Brett Lee an outstanding test match bowler....he has a worse bowling average than Munaf and Sreesanth.
Tait has done nothing to suggest that he's a world class test bowler.
Kumble is a better bowler than McGill.

You seriously think that Sreesanth, Munaf , Harby and Kumble is vastly inferior to that aforementioned Aussie attack ?
No. Inferior? Yes.

Your'e the one who said "If you put all four of our bowlers together, perhaps we can match one of theirs" which does imply that they are vastly inferior.....
Well, vastly to me would be like the difference between the bowling of Malcolm Marshall and Andrew Symonds. I would say the difference was the difference between Marshall and Ntini (eg quite significant).

Based on what may I ask ? On their respective records how can you say that Lee and Tait are better than Munaf and Sreesanth ?
Add to the fact that Kumble's probably a better bowler than McGill, that Aussie attack doesn't even start to look significantly better :)

Kumble averages around 35 overseas, he is certainly not a better bowler outside of India than MacGill. Not even close.

And Munaf and Sreesanth have played two series, during one of which Sreesanth couldn't even finish his run up and had to be taken off due to 'mental' issues. The other, Sreesanth did well but was inconsistent in patches while Munaf was horribly unfit and did nothing.

So yea, based on that I'd take the Aussie attack any day.

well actually, Munaf and Sreesanth have played in 3 series :)

But it's not as if Tait has done anything of note in the test he has played.
And Lee has been pretty average throughout his career as a test bowler.
Again, how are the Aussies significantly better, as you claimed ? :)

But McGill has never played a test match in India, England, South AFrica or New Zealand.

Kumble has - hence again, it is not a great comparison.

Kumble has a very respectable record against the top 8 test sides.

Contrast this with Macgill who has flopped bigtime against both Sri Lanka and India.
