Oh well, Flintoff is more of a bowler who bats a bit now.
Agreed on all points. Going back to the rankings, KP's average is hugely weighted by his extraordinary series in SA. In the two years since then, he "only" averages 46. Still very, very good of course, and I'd happily have in my world oneday XI right now. But it does show how things have levelled off since then.the problem is, no England fan complains when KP is murdering the ball through mid wicket for 4. Quite often a players strength is a weakness as well.
Ponting is hot at the moment, but it wasnt that long ago since he had a pretty poor stretch in ODIs.
Batting for my life..Ponting of course
Pietersen averages more runs per innings than Ponting, and that's not including the not-outs.Agreed on all points. Oh hang on, five down
Bangladesh having 3 spinners will count against us. We're not exactly experts at pushing the run rate along against them.
Agreed. Fancy South Africa to beat us by 200 runs TBH.This is so dire it's quite amusing tbh.
The weird thing is, is that we always seem to make a hash of it against the 'Minnows', and do fairly OK against the stronger sides like Aus and SA.Agreed. Fancy South Africa to beat us by 200 runs TBH.
This has totally ****ed up our NRR. We need to post like 600 against SA to make it decent. So much for getting a decent net run rate. These two must be waiting for the next PowerPlay.
