Also Carl Webb is out for 8 weeks and it turns out it didn't matter if Brisbane won or not because they fielded an extra player after Brad Thorn forgot to give his interchange card before running on. Meanwhile there are stories going about Tame Tupou wanting a release to play in England if he isn't given any games soon.

Tupou needs to realise he has to actually put in the effort at training and stop throwing tantrums and then he might get picked in first grade...

Dire performance for the most part tonight byt he Knights, it seems as though now Joey is back they think he'll do it all and don't need to put in the sort of efforts they did in rounds 1 & 2. Will need him to produce somehting special if we're to win form this situation

Carney & Dobson have been great though.

EDITx2: ANOTHER!!! dropped ball, and the Raiders score off the Scrum to win 48-18. worst effort, might realise that even with Joey in the team you have to put in 100% otherwise you'll be thrashed like this every week

I've said it once and I'll say it again, Dobson and Carney are potentially the best halves pairing in the comp, Zillman show's what a star he's gonna be, just another Queenslander for the stock pile...

Dane Tilse is also a bolter for the country origin side imo...

Dane Tilse is also a bolter for the country origin side imo...

You've also got Learoyd-Lahrs and Weyman to come back from injury.

Yeah Carney and Dobson were simply sensational last night. Totally ran the show and absolutely outclassed the Knights in that 2nd half, including Johns!

Yeah, some of those young Canberra blokes played blinders last night - just in time for them to come up against my hapless Eels this week.

For Newcastle, Johns will be better for the run having played only 2 minutes of football before that game, but the same issues re. their defence from 2006 are still there. They'll need to tighten it up if they are to be a force this year.

Were so stuffed, but Carney for me would be the 2nd best 5/8 in the comp. Mind there not many great 5/8 running around.
