Yeah im really starting to like the look of Carney. I know Mullen young but his got step up sooner or later. ATM i don't see how his much better then Soward, Finch, Lewis, Dobson and Williams others. Last two wins for Knights its all been Kurt Gidley really and Mullen gone missing in a lot of the games. His last tackle option is very poor ATM. I can actually see Carney playing in this series Orgin if Johns is playing to nurse him into Orgin Football.

Saw in the paper today about Canberra Raiders having spotted a Logan junior halfback who is described as having more ability then Thurston did at his age, and have made contact with his parents and are in touch with him, and he is only 11.

He hasn't even started high school yet

Storm recruitment guru Peter O'Sullivan said really at 16 is when clubs should start looking at players, but because of the competition he has gone at 14 or 15 and no younger. He snapped up Greg Inglis at 15. The guy is obviously a gun at scouting players.

Manly is looking quite 2nd rate but we are still winning matches, what a gun team. Fairly easy draw so far it has to be said. Also im tips for Souths and Warriors to kill this season are paying off, only early but playing some good football.

Looks like a long season ahead for the Eels & Roosters. By the looks of the 1st to roundst the Warriors & Rabbits will cause a lot of problems for all teams this year. The Warriors will want to step up their 2nd Half performances though, especially against teams like the Storm & Bulldogs.

The same side who got run down by a Knights side with no Johns or Buderus in round one and got flogged in the second 40 by a side who hadn't scored a point yet in the season.....

Just got home from the raiders game, they did ok, need to improve, but theres enough to suggest they have the nucleus of a future good side...

If we can keep the current crop of people, in 3+ years we will be a premiership force.

Dobson and Carney are potentially one of the best halves pairings in the comp, you can tell the team lacks some experience on the field though...

They have played together before this season, and if they can lead from the front, we may win some games this year.

probably, strangely i wasnt that upset with losing this week, ive mentally prepared myself for a long terrible season...

meh, probably not the best example tbh, but you get the idea, they can't take their foot off the pedal in the 2nd half and expect to win against the top teams (Storm obv. and Cowboys would probably be a better example)
