Yeah he was always going to score, too much raw pace. Just think Hodges was lost at sea a bit there. It was quite obvious once he starting leading with his left where he was going.

a bit rusty, but for a first game of the season wasnt too bad. Was some awesome defence from both teams and i think they both played better than Melbourne. It's hard to see the Cowboys going as badly as last year if they play like they did last night...

Both games were super.... Obivously all teams were a bit rusty but the quality was great...
Happy with the Tigers Start, probably the toughest team to play 1st up be we accounted for ourselves well, Our defence was top notch.. Was reading on the Tigers forum and Tim Sheens predicts Moodie to score 20 tries this season.. only 19 to go... What a champion...

both games where good and all teams rusty but you expect that. i thought melb where a little behind the eight ball but tigers played and defended well and are only going to get better.
the broncos should have wrapped up the cowboys 20 mins from time when my most hated player dropped the ball when through the gap, mr neck brace boy......but good start to the footballing season.

hmm. I was actually a little dissapointed with the Tigers. I never got the feeling that they were capable of winning the game. I always thought the Storm were safe.
Obviously it will take a while for Morris to fit in and mix with Marshall but I would be very surprised if they were able to recreate their attacking style of 05... hopefully they can.
Tigers defence was super though.
Cowboys were good but they always start well...

Surely the 40/20 rule has to be one of the best that has been brought in in the last decade? I'm not saying that because Cameron Smith kicked one last night, but any guy who can kick one for his team is just so crucial and gives a big advantage.
The video ref doesn't count since that was a requirement, then an innovation.

HAHAHAHA Penrith and the Sharks were pathetic... by far and away the worst 2 teams i've seen so far... Most boring game so far...
Manly were good but the loss of Matai could hurt them... The Raiders were ok, I think they will get better as the season goes on and i would be surprised if they win the spoon...

Was it that bad? I didn't see it. Just turned on the telly and Johns was lying on his front motionless...haven't seen the replay yet

It was a huge swinging arm, hit him right in the face. Didn't look too bad in open play but on replay it looked terrible.
