Love watching Watson open. So much better as a batsman when he can play himself in a bit, and he handles the new ball fine.

This decision probably indicates that, with a score here, Watson will open in the minnow matches in the WC, as Gilchrist won't be playing. I'd imagine we'll see Ponting, Clarke and Hodge in the middle, with Hussey and Haddin finishing.

It's worth the effort IMO. Imagine if Watto scored a ton and you didn't see it.. you'd never forgive yourself.

They should honestly aim for 500 on this pitch, its not seaming an inch. This is seriously a belter, just a little slower than Eden Park but I reckon these days thats better for the hitters.
