You mean like Noon's "try" against us last year? :D

Although that evened things up for the ABs after Rocky Elsom was awarded a shocker against us earlier last year.

Not that your lot can take much solace from that, mind you.
Noon's was bad, but Wilkinson's was far worse.

Ultimately, you'd have still handed our arses to us anyway. & anything that helped speed Robbo towards the exit can't be all bad.

What a different side England looked.

Ashton has got a lot of things right. I like the backline (would want Cueto back though ASAP though)

Wilkinson was sensational, but his real test will be against Ireland.

BoD out for the Irish; he'll be a big miss obviously. Horgan moves to outside-centre & Geordan Murphy comes onto the wing. Murphy would be in my XV anyway, why Dempsey is preferred to him is mystifying really. Stringer also misses out with the <coughs> kiwi-born Isaac Boss stepping up. Arguably strengthens the team tho.

Anyway, my tips:

England to beat Italy by 30-40 points; if yer eyeties play like they did against yer French it could get very ugly very quickly.

Wales to beat Scotland by 8-10 points; not too many positives for Scotland to take from last week and precious few for Wales either, but they have more class in the loosies & Mark Jones returns to add gas to the backs.

Ireland to beat France by 6-8 points; game of the weekend by a fair bit, Croke Park's first concession to an "Anglo" sport & the two favs for the title. It's pretty much toss of a coin stuff really, I'm favouring the Irish mainly because I think O'Gara's kicking could be more reliable under pressure than the largely untested Skrela's. Their loose forwards will have to do better than they did against the Taffs tho.

Pretty tedious stuff, they keep cutting to the royal muppets which is getting on my nerves - especially Prince Teeth. Who gives a toss about what they're doing every other minute?

Think Brian Moore said more or less the same thing, "Let's get back to the Rugby".

Fairly ordinary half tho, Italy's first-choice front row has made a big diff for them. What is so great about Jonny tho is that he punishes those little indiscretions with points. So a mediocre performance, but we're still two converted tries ahead at the break.

Dallan's ankle looked a bad one. 99% sure it's a break. No-one likes to see that. :-O

Couldn't help laughing when Brian Moore was having a whinge at the ref for giving a yellow card without warning. Last week he was having a whinge at the ref for giving a warning first.

Thank god for that it's finished. I went off to wedigtv to play Blockbusters (most addictive theme music ever) such was the level of entertainment.

Wow. Shocker.

Fair play to Italy, decent performance, but I suspect they've fallen into the "gallant defeat" mentality a bit. They played a damge limitation sort of game until it was too late.

Toby Flood not ready for internationals & Chuter seems to be increasingly from the "Thompson" school of line-out throwing.

Brian Moore got it right when he said:

"There's a slightly autumnal feel to the match.."

What a load of poo. Terrible.

Still can't help laughing at the irony of Wales players having 'BRAINS' on their jerseys, I can't help wondering whether they'll get their shirts sponsored by the RSPCA next.

Didn't it used to 'Braun' on their shirts?

Some huge hits going in this game, Southwell got lined up worse than Mat Rogers.

Another load of rubbish. Steds will be happy tho, he can celebrate a rare Scotland victory and have a dig at 'yawnion' or whatever.

"Brawn", but only for games in France. They've been sponsored by Brains since at least 2005, but French telly won't allow sponsored shirts so they changed "Brains" to "Brawn". It's what passes for wit in the valleys...

Pile of poo that game was, Welsh are shocking just now & Hook has really frozen on the big stage twice now.

As I said at the time tho, they sacked a Grand Slam winning coach & you reap what you sow.
