Nice delivery from Mahmood under the circumstances. Disappointing series for Gilchrist after a good start.

This is a 320+ wicket really. Might even miss White's batting a bit at the end, given acceleration will be the key.

Ponting for a century.

I am glad White is not playing (even though Watson replaced him). He has provided nothing except that bit of a slog down in Hobart. I don't think he should go to the World Cup but he will but will struggle for game time.

Easy 300+ wicket tonight.

you're kidding surely? 320 pitch? we're not even 10 overs into the game and the ball is barely coming onto the bat(with 2 90 odd mph bowlers bowling). This is nothing more than a 250 pitch, although with Plunkett and Sajid bowling England might still find a way to concede 300+.

MCG is never a 300+ wicket, simply because the dimensions of the ground make it harder to get that 90+ in the last 10, more likely to limit to 80.

Umm if you've been watching at all today, Sajid bowling those 2 slower balls every over is the most intelligent thing hes done at any point of his career. As such other than bowling those slower balls, hes been rubbish.

Haha, I actually meant that Australia would be looking to score 320+, but fair enough. Anything above 275 should be quite defendable.

Anyway, I don't think this pitch is anywhere near as slow as people are making out. It might slow up later, but so far it's quite similar to the way it played in the last game, where it was a little slow but played quite well throughout and Australia chased a big score down.

We'll see how the spinners go, but it's a big score day IMO.

yeah, not saying they're a bad thing, but he's been bowling 2 slower balls just about every over in this ODI series.
