He's done it plenty of times recently. Tell that to India, England and the West Indies in the CT and DLF Cup, or the World XI even.

Anyway, speaking of Watson, Mark Gillespie really reminds me of him as a bowler. Similar pace, both read way quicker on the speed gun than they look, both quite accurate but do very little with the ball. Fairly similar actions too.
Gillespie does get a bit of swing and bouce which I don't think Watson does. Ross Taylor had a costly mistake and Bondy making a huge impact, key wicket.

Never really seen Gillespie get a lot of swing at all but he does get more bounce than Watson. I feel Watson is a better bowler to left handers though.

Watson gets quite a lot of bounce IMO, mainly because he's a short of a length bowler most of the time. If you look at his international wickets, a surprisingly high number of them come from batsmen who attempt to drive on the up or cut and get beaten by extra bounce.

Watson doesn't swing the ball much these days of course, but I haven't seen Gillespie swing it either.

Yeah, Bond's been really good today. Makes the calls for him to retire because his average went above 20 look a bit silly.

For Wellington in the New Zealand domestic competition he get's a bit of swing, not as much as somebody like Shane Bond but moves the ball around a little bit. He hasn't done too much with sideways movement in this series though.

Its always been a mystery for me that why doesn't watson swing the ball, his action is pretty good so is his wrist position and seam presentation. I think its much more safer to bang the ball in short, but sooner or later he has to learn to swing the ball if he wants to successfull at the test match level.

This has been a great knock from collingwood, now he has to give the innings the final finishing touches.

I come back from an exam to find England 242/5?

We are really missing Mills, and the Bowling line-up looks really thin when Vettori is taken to. With the lineup we have, we really need both Bond and Vettori bowling well.

Anyways, i favour NZ as a chasing team so....
I think NZ will chase down anything in the 260-280 range, ofcourse it will be tough but.....
