Is there any light at the end of the tunnel for English cricket? Is county cricket really that bad that there are no cricketers of talent coming through? I'm actually a bit saddened by their decline, or should I say free-fall, since winning the Ashes.

Stopped watching in disgust. Utterly embarrassing outfielding and the bowlers are understandably peeved off. Fulton and Franklin are gaining reputations for this - I wouldn't trust them under a baby thrown from a burning building. Wouldn't even trust them under a cushion thrown from said building actually.

They had a chance to get a bonus point and they've bombed it.

Plunkett's averages are 20 & 40 (ish for both). Much like Giles in Tests, if he could only turn them round he could be considered a world-class all-rounder. Damn shame.

That's more like it big Jake. Great batting performance from our boys today but we really should have got that bonus point. Shoddy fielding cost us that but we seem to be improving nicely and should be able to compete and maybe beat Aus once Styris comes in and we have a full-strength line-up.

They're still the second best test team in the world. Wouldn't get too carried away.
