I think aussies will really miss hogg on this pitch. The pitch really doesn't have anything for the faster men which is so unlike a WACA pitch.

Well, yes, but it's your stance on Hayden that I take real issue with. :p

Personally, I wouldn't get into anything involving Heath Davis, if the rumours I've heard (which are not able to be repeated on here) are true...
You a Hayden hater too Voltman? Why? He seems like such a good bloke. I don't even care that he's a bible basher. He just seems to embody everything that's decent and good about cricket. A bit like his little Aussie battler mate Langer who has grown on me (excuse the pun)

Voltman... I stick up for my fellow countrymen even if it's blatantly obvious that they're ****e. I'll continue to do it till the day I die. I even went into bat for Carl Bulfin, Richard de Groen, Petrie, Heath Davis, Matthew Bell and Michael Papps when foreigners were giving them heaps. It's part of my make-up as a Black Cap supporter and I'm too old to change.
Thanks for informing us. I shall ignore your posts on New Zealanders from now on.

Fulton gone, making another start but failing to capatilise. In comes Taylor, will be interesting to see how he copes in the heat.
Yeah shame really, gee he plays that pull shot well. He might have to score a big one in the next few games to keep his place though, especially when Pig comes back.

Yep totally agree, Oram is a far better cricketer. Transformed himself from a top order bat into an allrounder, and been through more injury challenges than Watson.
Not sure how getting injured and recovering is a criteria for greatness, but Watson's had several stress fractures of the back, remodelled his action several times and played a whole season as a specialist batsman because he couldn't bowl. Then there's the fact that he missed the entire Ashes series this year with a recurring hamstring injury, and he dislocated his shoulder during a test last summer. I'd say he's been through as many "injury challenges" as anyone, Oram included.

And once again, I hate to point out the blatantly obvious, but Watson has a far better record than Oram with the bat in first class and ODI cricket. Far better like comparing Steve Waugh to Shaun Pollock. Unless your sole criteria for being a "far better cricketer" is being from New Zealand, I'm afraid I don't see the logic.

Incidentally though, I quite like Oram, and I think he's a very handy ODI bowler and has some potential with the bat, though his batting performances are clearly substandard so far. Could yet turn out to be a very good ODI all-rounder, if he stops getting injured every three games.
