That would be quite surprising for a team going at 4.9 after 22 overs. With 2 power plays still left i think fleming is asking for trouble. I think if all goes well they can even think of 400+.

Obviously it isn't the easiest to score on but Australia are in a completely dominant position and Ponting is set...It's a difficult wicket to score quickly on I think. Obviously 300 is on the cards if the spinners don't take wickets and one of Australia's hitters gets going in the late overs, but NZ have a reasonable chance to restrict Australia to 250-260, which is chasable against a team with no spin options.
Though of course, if I was putting money on it, I'd probably back Australia by 100 runs in a similar situation to the one you described.
Where are all you Aussie's calling for Hayden's head now?Geez, another one. Ponting playing great cricket.
But we still can't get him out.hayden still batting like a spastic.
Are you serious?Where are all you Aussie's calling for Hayden's head now?
I'm watching the game. Assuming the opposition drop anything he hits at them in every game, he'll be a fine addition to the one day team circa 1992.Where are all you Aussie's calling for Hayden's head now?
Riiiiiight. Australia wouldn't be 123/1 with 26 overs leftAre you serious?
Hayden has been terrible. Dropping him has probably been better for us if anything...
Right here. He never should have been recalled in the first place, and that'd still be true if he'd played brilliantly today. As it is, he hasn't really, and should have been out early on. If he goes on to make a big score that's fine, but he shouldn't be in the team and I rather Vettori had taken that catch.Where are all you Aussie's calling for Hayden's head now?
With only 1 wicket down on a decent track, scoring at just over 5 isn't exactly ideal.Riiiiiight. Australia wouldn't be 123/1 with 26 overs left
