New Zealand Domestic Season 2006/07

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Haha sometimes I wish Australia and NZ would just become the one country.

Just kidding. I wanted fiery to have a heart attack :p

Fiery, I don't see anything wrong in liking sports players from other countries. I support NZ first and formost, but why aren't I allowed to support specific players from other countries?

Do you want me to have a heart attack as well. I dont mind supporting anybody from any country. I like watching Gilchrist smash India, England, Pakistan, South Africa, the Windies, anybody, all over the show, but when he plays against NZ I hope he is either struck by lightning on the way to the ground or involved in some horrible mishap with a banana skin, and a concrete floor.

Knock yourself out. But why Paul Collingwood? He's English and he's been awful since his 200. Call me old-fashioned but it just doesn't seem right for a kiwi male cricket fan to have "Gilly" and "Colly" as their avatars.

Me too. Though not that dramatic :p I just hope whenever my fav players play against NZ they don't trouble the scorers too much ;)

I liked Collingwood before his 200. I've always thought of him as a gritty player with a good technique (few people would probably agree) and has been one of England's better ODI players for a while (a more accomplished Chris Harris, if you will). He is in a form slump since his double hundred though.

But I enjoyed that double hundred, and his big scores on the sub-continent and the partnership with Alistair Cook (only saw some highlights, mind). Hopefully he can continue for another few years as an anchor in the English middle order (at 5, with KP at 4).

Oh, and it always seems as though he won't go without a fight (except lately :() unlike some of the other English batsman (or NZ batsmen).

You're right, he can be gritty. I don't think you could say his technique is "good". I would say it's ugly but effective. He did show more ticker in the early games of the Ashes than any other Englishman but has gone rapidly downhill since then. Don't agree with the last bit at all. Chris Harris was (and still is) a more accomplished ODI player than him IMO

It would be great if NZ and Australia would join then we would have a stable government without any of our kiwi rubbish thats making our country go into the pits. And of course we would have one brilliant cricket side :) Probably only including Bond from the Kiwi side.

Imagine somebody like Richie McCaw and George Smith as your flankers? WOuld Gregan make it though? Either way I can't stand him.
He might have a chance, none of our halfbacks set the world on fire last year. Can't think of too many Aussies, if any, I would put in a combined team though

Phil Waugh, George Smith, Daniel Vickerman, Stephen Larkham, Chris Latham would all have to be there or thereabouts.

Phil Waugh? p.lease. Let's see, George Smith... ahhh who have we got? Vickerman?...Jack. Larkham's nowhere near as good as Carter these days. Latham? I'll give you that one...maybe

Latham's injured - won't be any good this year. :p
Smith... maybe a bench option.
I'd partner Jack/Williams with Vickerman.

Anyway, back to the cricket.

Whoops...I forgot rugby teams had 2 locks. When Williams gets out of the right side of bed he's better than Vickerman anyway.

Chris Harris is having an excellent season. His slow bowling would come in handy in the world cup on the slow pitches. I wonder if he'll get a chance.

If the selectors think Craig Cumming is too old to replace Nathan Astle then I can't see them bringing in Harry.
