***Official*** Pakistan in South Africa

I can't fathom anyone saying we should knowingly send an inferior side in a Test match just because of the close proximity to an ODI tournament. Apparently, people do say that but its still hard for me to believe.
Haha, I was in similar disbelief to be honest. I doubt any team's national selectors would actually do that though...

Bad news indeed. Shabbir and Razzaq may be called up. Huge drop off from Shoaib and Gul for sure.
It'll be interesting to see how Shabbir goes after that long lay off. Abdur Razzaq though might allow us to play five bowlers, not that I'd think the selectors would do it..

Will probably tune in tonight and see how Pakistan can go chasing a pretty low total, Ntini and Nel with have to fire if South Africa are to have any chance of winning. Kallis will be gutted to miss his century but Asif bowled really well. Whenever I see Asif bowl it looks like him and Sreesanth have a fairly similar action.

Hafeez out LBW to Pollock, SA 48/3 and struggling.

It looks like it'll be the old firm of Younis, Yousuf and Inzy that'll have to take Pakistan to victory here if they're going to get there.

Yeah Pollock being a bit of a doofus here.

I reckon those Ntini/Nel runs at the end may hurt Pakistan, I hope they don't though. Younis and Yousuf just have to put on 50 to calm the waters first.

Game's interestingly poised, though you'd still have Pakistan as favorites at 68/3.

Would be funny if we got a nailbiting scenario with Inzy having to nurse the tail along with 50 or more needed for victory (which would surely see the game go down in the recordbooks as "Inzy's test").

MoYo obviously due though. :p

He has done some thing similar versus Bangladesh and Inzamam is quite the crisis man despite his lack of legs.

Pakistan paying 1.12, SA 5.50.

If I didn't want Pakistan to win so much I would have a little punt on SA, but this series needs to be alive going into the 3rd test.

Oh, draw paying 201 for anyone interested. May be a decent bet :p;)

I didn't see a moment of that match, but from the start of day 4 I was following it closely on cricinfo. Great performance from him, even if tragic for the Bangladeshis. I said earlier in the thread that if there's one player you want for that kind of situation, Inzy's the man.

SA at 5.5 was worth betting in hindsight.
Not even in hindsight. $5.50 was extremely generous considering their bowling line-up and Pak's long-tail, not to mention they were 3 down.

Even now they're still paying $2.50 to Pakistan's $1.50.

Yeah mate. 5.5 was a bit too good to be true at that stage. More rue worthy now though after the possibility of wickets falling has come true.

Yeah, the only reason I didn't bet tbh is because I don't like betting against teams I support, or a team I'm passionately supporting for the game. I feel dirty.

For example SA were bargain value at the end of day 4 of the 3rd test against India when they were chasing 200-odd (they were paying $1.30) and were around 50-2, but betting against India wouldn't feel right.

I've decided to get on Nadal against Murray after he's gone 1-set down. Paying generously at around 1.70.
