Well played team

Again thanks to Hoy & Markus we were able to dominate the Midfield, whilst Dravid continued to do what he knows best up front, and Goff, Fitzy & Kears kept it tight down back. Congrats to Dwyer for scoring his 1st goal :) well deserved mate, lets hope that Pooja's 1st is just around the corner.

Also, well done to Hoy (Vice-Captain), Goff, Fitzsimmons & Dravid for all being selected in the CW Land squad to play against American Samoa.

Round 8's gonna be a test for us without our 4 form players. Those of us who weren't selected must take our game to another level if we're to beat the Dynamo, which would then take us to the top of the Ladder.

Fantastic effort in yesterday's game guys , especially Markus & Dunn who stood up to be counted when 4 regulars were missing. We've definetly shown the rest of the league, that we are easily 1 of the best two teams in the league. Arguably the best due to the Dynamo's reliance on Kennett to fire, whereas we were still able to win without our 4 main players.

Congratulations, and Commiserations to Pooja for scoring your 1st ever goal, and then getting injured early on in the peice. An apology from me must be made, as that is my 2nd red in just 8 games so far this season  which is far to high a strike-rate imo. I think a drop in my agression level is definetly needed due to my extremelty low tackling ability.

Also, good Luck to Hoy, Dravid, Goff & Fitzsimmons in tomorows match against American Samoa :)

Thoughts on a team for the Stallions game??

Im thinking with all the Suspensions we will need a 4-4-2

GK Ryan_Dunn
DF S_Fitzsimmons
DF Dave_Kearsley
DF Brendon_Goff
DF Chris_Dwyer
MF Jardel
MF Nathan_Hoy
MF Ian_Markus
MF Erik_Iversen
FW Erik_de_Cler
FW Nitin_Dravid

The other option is a 3-4-3 with Dwyer pushing up front with Dravid and de Cler to make a 3 man attack, Only concern is the 3 man defence but i guess the Stallions havent really been in great attacking form...

Thoughts???

I'd say 4-4-2 would be the safest option seeing as we're a few players down. Attacking shouldn't be a problem with Dravid in good form, and Hoy showing us he has the ability to score plenty of goals for East Coast in the future against A. Samoa.

Alternatively 3-1-3-1-2 ???

It could be the only other possible way to have a well balanced defence & attack. Dwyer playing down back with kears & yourself, and having simon play at DM in support of both the midfield & defence. Then either Markus or Hoy could play at AM, to give Dravid & De Cler up front, whilst still providing valuable playmaking ability in the middle.

Another good win guys...

We had to fight in that one and we did... With so many players out, we were really a bits and peices team but some really good performances made life alot easier...

Well done to Dravid for continuing his good form... Dwyer for converting his form from up front to down the back with a MOM performance.. Hoy was also instrumental...

A Tough one next up against the Swell, but we will get 3 guys back which will help alot...

Lets keep working hard...

Top Stuff Fella's :D Particularly Dwyer, who made a seamless change from Foward to Back, and played a blinder. The signs are looking good, we've won the last 2 games without 4 & 3 first team players, showing that we've plenty of depth.

A tough match coming up against the swell, who defened extremely well last match against Central. Winning is essential, especially with Kennett back in the Dynamo team!

we can afford to lose a copule of players here and there with me in goals  how many clean sheets is that now?

With Okada, O'Shannessy & Jones all avaiable this week, just wondering what formation we'll be looking at this week Blewy??

With the Swell's strength being their attack, perhaps reverting to a 4-1-2-2 lineup may be an option??

With Okada & O'Shannesy playing in the backline with yourself & kears, and simon playing as DM, with Dwyer joining Dravid up front?

If not, good old 4-4-2 is probably the best option again, just swapping Dwyer up front, and brining Okada back into DF.

Note: Lowered my aggression, hopefully a few less Reds :(

Yeah i was thinking the 4-1-2-2 formation as well... I think we can cause their defence some issues with just the 2 strikers.. Especially if Dravid keeps up his super form, and if Dwyer puts as many shots on goal as last round..

I made just as many shots from the back then i do from the front, maybe i should play a few more games in the same position, well at least against the easy beat teams.

the man makes a fair point :)

i don't know if you'd call the Swell easy beats though with Goughy in their team

edit: Has anyone seen Hoy's name floating around lately ? hoping like hell he hasn't left the entire website because of the CW Cricket incident :(
