That was just surreal. You don't win 6-3 at Anfield. Really hope we dick T*ttenham in the semi now or it'll take the shine off it.

Nah, no way. They're about the same level as yer Toffees for mine. Even the Spuds are better.
I'd have said that before our CL matches with them, but, whether we dominated them or not, they impressed me.

As for Liverpool:

Even though it was Arsenal doing the drubbing I enjoyed that.

Think it’s a waste of time for clubs such as Blackburn, who don’t have the squad for a successful UEFA campaign let alone a domestic cup competition. Hughes had his priorities straight yesterday and fielded not a particularly good starting eleven, he knows the score and what’s the difference between 3rd or 5th round failure? Money, no not really, we not that desperate and are league safety is far more beneficial then a cup run, even a successful one. Also its rather disheartening to see lower league clubs follow a similar route for whatever reason they maybe and I understand the cup has more importance with lower league supporters but most people who support Premiership clubs very rarely see the excitement of the FA Cup anymore. You get the odd anomaly but Sheffield Untied’s defeat and squad that faced Swansea pretty much summed up what a distraction the cup has become. Also could be rather telling that Sheff Untied stay up come the end of the season and the Watford’s of this world, who did win, go down.

If they got rid of the even more pointless Carling Cup or whatever its called now, opinions may change. And on a entertainment level, the shocks are continually getting less and less 'shocking' and far more predictable, namely Charlton’s defeat to Forest which was about as signposted as it gets.
Fair point. For a club like the Mighty Whites, the difference between Round 3 and 5 is massive, financially, whereas for a club like yourselves, I guess it could be the difference of about 2 or 3 league places, which is probably worth more than 2 rounds of prize and TV money.

And even for us lower league clubs, in 03-04, we reached the last 8, and between round 5 and 6, we had 4 very winnable league games, picked up just 2 points, and ended up 6 points off the play-offs. It's not unrealistic to think that but for the Cup, we could have had a shot at promotion that year. It's a distraction, but for a club like us, nonetheless always a welcome one/.

Helps with my bet.
Yeah Arsenal is starting to pay off for me :D Both underdogs betting wise in the games and both times the victor!

Hey Barney you going up to the Man Utd-Portsmouth FA Cup game when your team got drawn with them? Too bad it is not at Fratton Park as I would back your lot to make an upset and win, but you never know really, I mean Neil was there when Exeter drew 0-0 there in 03/04.

I will if I can, but it'd be a massive round trip and finding the time to do it might be an issue. If the game falls on the right weekend I might be able to make it, but given the likelihood of us taking a huge away following to Old Trafford as always, I doubt I'll be able to get a ticket. :(

nah, he doesn't support anyone overtly but leans towards boro
I couldn't give a toss really, but most of the people who go to the Scrabble club I'm champion of for the past 3 years support them, so if they get humiliated it's funny and if they happen to win something it's good too.
