Well i was just watching the news and heard Mohammad Yousufs wife has some sort of surgery and wont be playing the first test.
Yeah you're right. Read it in the news now.

Also read elsewhere that he may be in doubt for the 2nd Test as well. I hope all goes well for his wife. He should take as much time as is needed to stay with his wife. This is just a game, his family should come first and foremost.

Its a shocking bowling attack. Albie Morkel and Kruger are average seamers. Botha is still learning, Adams is a virtual non-cricketer now adays, and Abdullah is a supposed young inexperienced played that isnt actually young.

If you cant score runs againt that attack then you are wasting good opportunities. No where close to being even a Franchise level attack

EDIT- Good to see my man van Wyk in the runs.
It may not be a terrible attack, but it's certainly not like racking up hundreds against Zimbabwe A or similar. Botha and Adams both have Test caps (the former was obviously rated by some extent by the selectors). It was still effectively 401-1 after the first day.

With Malik and Yousuf ruled out of the first test, is Hameed slated to come in at 3/4 with Faisal at 6?

Terrible shame about Yousuf, would have been interesting to see how he got on and weather he could amend his poor average in South Africa.

Big burden now on Younis Khan and Inzy, Pakistan’s batting order isn’t all that experienced especially in South African conditions.

In other news, Shahid Nazir takes a 5-fer on a road. Is his bowling ideal for South African pitches? Am I delusional and just need some sleep?

No Yousuf? No Shoaib? South Africa to take it 2-0.

Hoping to win a Greigy for this post tbh.
Yeah with all the injury problems we're having, I don't expect us to win the Test series either. Umar Gull and Inzi are not fully fit either, though both are expected to play.

Just heard on the radio that Shoaib has been recalled for the Pakistani side, can’t find any information on Cricinfo or the Beeb just yet but these guys are usually fairly accurate. Presumably a replacement for Gul.

Nice, fitness or not, I thought he'd be there.

I'm picking Asif to completely run amok on Saffie pitches. He's good at extracting bounce, and I ordered the SA/Pak series just to see Asif blowing people apart.

I'm so excited to see him bowl (its been a while since I saw him last). Can't wait for the series.

The biggest downside will be having to hear Jackman the Idiot for yet another month. Ah well, hopefully Alan Donald will speak a lot, love the man.

Shame Mike Haysman has left to work for Alan Standford, use to like him. Hopefully Kepler can do a couple of test matches as well and fingers crossed Rameez Raja is know where to be seen.

Stupid broadcast rights will prevent me from seeing this live. Dish Network is not carrying the series in the U.S as Dish Direct has the rights to SA's games.

I know. Thinking about getting Directv in a few months, but don't know if I can afford both :(
