Well we have equalled our lowest ever score and look set to pass it, Craig McMillan the only one showing any backbone. Ross Taylor and Stephen Fleming had technical flaws exposed and we will seen those kind of dismissals for Taylor quite a bit in the future, Marshall and Futlon just played the wrong line and our bowler's didn't have much of a chance against Vaas and Malinga.

I somehow forgot about the cricket today. I turned on the TV half an hour ago to watch it.

I wish I hadn't. :(

You'll all see on tuesday.

Also, why is Mcmillan in the team?

Sri Lanka have a tendancy to humiliate a team then lose to them two days later. Sets it up nicely for Tuesday.

We lost that game because of a very poor decision to give Andre Adams out. He was looking good for a hundred, especially when Macca was still in

SRI have been playing brilliant of the past 12 months now, the big dark-horses for the WC could shock any of my the big 3 with the talent they have

SL's bowling is really good right now, but as a SL fan it is the batting that scares me. If Jayasuriya gets out for less than 25, SL will lose most of the time.

I wouldn't even call them dark horses. I definatly think they have a chance if they all fire. And James.....you have any one of the black caps squad to have a go at and you pick, not Mason,Adams, Marshall etc but Vettori?......ummm......can't work that one out. Look at the way the Aussies have played him in the last few years. They are quite happy to prod around and let him have his 1/35 off ten. It doesnt matter when your hitting the rest of the attack for 7 an over. They respect him, therefore play him conservatively.

On days like this the bowling looks great, but SL's bowling in ODIs has been more a problem than batting, given everyone bar Murali and Vaas can go for runs on any bad day.

Malinga gets wickets and tends to restrict run scoring at the death with his yorkers, but he too gives a lot of runs early on....

Given our back up bowlers are Dilhara and Ruchira Perera... I dread to think what might happen if Both Vaas and Malinga are injured or indisposed, such as before a crucial World Cup game ...

Our batting does struggle a bit when Sanath gets out early , but that's been more exposed in this series because of poor form of Mahela , Marvan, Dilshan. etc. Once these guys get among the runs and get into some form Batting may not have much to worry about...But the bowling dept .... particularly the quality of back up bowlers is a major concern .. particularly if Vaas gets indisposed ... they will be exposed to be vey weak...

Well, what a let down that was. It seems these days that every game I go to is a one sided affair - I haven't seen an even contest for a long time. Something that really irritates me about going to the game is that they only ever show one replay of dismissals. I've got no idea how many of those lbws given by triggerfingers Baxter were actually out, since they just wouldn't show replays.

Gillepsie bowled well for us, showed he could handle the pressure of Jayasuriya going mental. Patel bowled way too flat, he didn't look like taking wickets at all. Adams was garbage, but that's to be expected really.

Our bloody batsmen are so prone to lbws though, they all play around their front pads. You'd think that technical issues like that could be ironed out, but our batsman have been going out like that for years. Makes me wonder what Bracewell actually does in trainings other than thinking up new buzzwords.
