We lost 1-0. Don't know how but we've got ourselves in a relegation fight despite having a quality set of players. Don't think the situation will be helped in January when Coke and Baptiste look set to go or we'll lose them on Bosmans at the end of the season.

It really is just irritating. If there's one thing we lack other than a defensive midfielder it's the hunger to finish off teams. Fergie has already highlighted the finishing problem with Rooney especially and I'm sure they'll be put through their paces. Larsson couldn't have come at a better time esp. with Saha getting injured. No wthere are two proven finishers in Solskjaer and Larsson.

I do not think it is much to do with hunger. It is not easy to keep on scoring goals. What Chelsea has done essentially when they have been behind is get so many players up there with striking potential. Man U cannot keep on doing that because they do not have that many quality strikers. A Rooney or any one else cannot deliver every day.

True but he's been getting glorious opportunities for a few games now and if it's not him being unlucky it's poor finishing. A few other players too have missed from good positions. Things like that cost you.

Yeah fair point. I wouldn't put it down to hunger though again. Players do tend to go through lean patches or inconsistency periods when they can't score for toffees in football.
