*mainly chose people who had a decent lengthed test career, sorry to Rice, Procter.
*Had to limit this list eventually as I didn't want it to become too long to tally, so a few cw favourites probably missed out. sorry, made some tough decisons. I know 18 is still quite long but in my mental checklist i kept thinking player x deserves a spot because they might rank surprisingly well in one discipline. Players where it seemed really obvious to me that they would finish near the bottom of one discipline I omitted first.

Not sure how to rate Flintoff, who in his prime was as good a bowler and a destructive and skilful bat as anyone, but for a lot of his career was injured or half arsed.

If this is an exercise to tally up who is the most effective/balanced all-rounder, I think it's gotta be between Miller and Botham, with Sobers as well. All guys who were legit opening bowlers and who were also top 6 batsmen.

Faulkner a decent shout too, would have been selected on batting or bowling in most test sides.
