David Dytes Sim1 for Dos v0.01 Original Basic code by David Dyte Crappy dos version by Phil Shead (who also wrote the crappy java version, now with an impossible to see bug fixed! http://www.deakin.edu.au/~drizzt/sim1/) Playing the game. ----------------- type sim1 to start the game... it's all self explanatory. I just realised the toss is backwards.. oh well. All you can control is the bowlers, each bowler has a stamina figure that controls how long they can bowl. Stamina decreases 1.5 every over bowled and recovers 0.5 every over not bowled (more if he goes for > 5 an over). A bowler cannot bowl if his stamina is under 2. Bowlers are number for selection. and at the same prompt you can declare with the command declare. Following on is included. Time during the game is also not done. Teams files ----------- You can use your own team file sim1 filename Just look at teams.dat to see what it should look like roughly it is "firstname" "surname" batavge bowlavge stamina speed stamina should be 10-13 for quicks and 15-20 for your normal spinner speed = 1 = spinner speed = 2 = fast speed = 3 = keeper (c)1997 David Dyte and Phil Shead Filelist -------- sim1.exe The program itself teams.dat Default teams file should be in current directory when program is run nzveng teams for NZ v England test series savaus teams for RSA v Australia test series rsavaus.1 example scorecards from three games run rsavaus.2 using the savaus file. rsavaus.3
