Ganeshbabu Venkat | 10:42am gmt 26 Jun 2010
Watch out for updates throughout the day as the game goes on...

Check for Pictures and Live updates in this thread as well......

Quoting Lord Realtor"A lovely day for cricket Blue skies and gentle breeze"

The saffies warming up on the field. Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel marked their run ups... Windies during some warm ups on the field... CG lumbering up.... and taking a look at the wicket.. The press box is real nice and cozy and the internet connection is fast...

Will post some pics in a few....

9.00AM Easter Caribbean time..

Tony Cozier is in the press box... Here are some pictures

Photos from the game

Still No signs of toss.. They plan to show the football here... So good.. Go USA....

9.30: Graeme Smith is out for the Toss. CG not shown up yet.. He looks like he is pulling a Saurav Ganguly on Smith...

Windies Won the Toss and elected to bat... Interesting news is Nelon Pascal collapsed in Practice and apparently they are bringing in Brandon Bess from the academy...

3 Minutes to Start and a sparse crowd. Both in the Media centre and the stands.. meanwhile Uruguay takes on South Korea in the World cup...

Can't Imagine how this place would have been during the T20 world cup.Kensington Oval looks absolutely fantastic.. Morkel and Steyn showing why they are the best... Not giving any room to the batsman .. Uruguay Scores 1-0

And South Africa Strike... Morkel takes out Richards for a Duck... Hmm Dowlin/Richards it's all the same result...

shucks... Big Man Gayle goes... Played on... Windies in Trouble now...

An eventful hour of play. But Deo and Shiv seemed to have settled down.. touch wood.. Botha and Harris in operation... It's a typical attritional type batting... from these two left handed Guyanese...

Meanwhile South Korea have equalized... 1-1..

And that's lunch West Indies 76/2 not a bad position after a not so great start.... Let me go get some lunch and be back...

Post Lunch

Disastrous start for West Indies.. Losing two players who can occupy the crease for a long time.. Shiv and Nash.. Shiv to a brilliant catch from Kallis and Nash to the UDRS..It took so long that Tony Cozier here is the box wanted it abandoned..Now let's see what Bravo and Deonarine can do..

First Hour of play after lunch has been not good for the Windies.. They lost three wickets... and now looking in danger of getting bowled out for a less than par score on a not so difficult wicket to bat... Steyn on in full throttle.. Hits bravo in the hand as I type this...

20 Minutes to go before tea, Bravo opens up and hits a mighty six of Botha... West Indies managing to hang on here... Meanwhile 9 minutes before kick off for the USA-Ghana game... The press box is abuzz... Go USA!!!!

My friend Prasad wants me to "Post some of the legendary stories of Dwayne Smith's exploits in FC and Club Cricket...Must be interesting..!!"
He is in England playing for sussex... people here don't care.. The Test match is Intriuging..

Break Through... Stupid shot from Ramdhin... Fell for the trap.. Hook,Line and Sinker... Gone after a useful partnership...

12 More overs for the day. West Indies 231 All out and Saffies have lost Alviro Petersen... Roach is bowling really quick... Smith Attacking though...

West Indies look like they want to get out of the field today.. No Intent.. If they continue in the same vein they could have to chase leather for the next two days... Amla looking solid as ever...

5 more overs and I'm going to pack up for the day.. Catch ya all cricketweb'ers tomorrow...for what looks like a long day..

Lovely article mate. What a grand cricketer he was.
If I am being honest I think the article is a little short on the significance of him being England'
Been looking forward to this one for a while and was not disappointed - doesn't half drive home the
Absolutely brilliant piece. The fact that it was about one of my favorite cricketers didn't hurt
