Jamaica VS. Windward Islands
An excellent all-round performance from Chris Gayle coupled with a fine spell of bowling from Jerome Taylor ensured that Jamaica easily dealt with their Windward opponents. Jamaica cruised to 151/3 off just 27.2 overs to win the game by 7 wickets. Gayle notched 72 not out off just 74 balls and Brenton Parchment got the second highest score of 33. Gayles innings included four (4) mighty sixes and a similar number of fours.
Wavell Hinds batted at #3 and scored 26, Marlon Samuels was out without scoring and Ricardo Powell finished unbeaten on 11. In typical Powell fashion, he finished off the game with a six.
Earlier in the game, young Taylor ripped through the Windwards line-up, finishing with 4 wickets for just 23 runs. Gayle (2/26) and Daren Powell (3/33) added impressive efforts too as the Windward Islands was all out for just 146 runs.

Barbados VS. Antigua and Barbuda
A massive upset as Barbados fall to defeat by 3 wickets at the hands of Antigua and Barbuda. Three bowlers took two (2) wickets against the powerful Bajan batting. Former Test players Sherwin Campbell (19), Ryan Hinds (42) and Courtney Browne (32) all got starts, but none of them carried on to a big score. Floyd Reifer managed just 3 runs in the game. Barbados were dismissed for an unimpressive 184.
In reply, Jacobs scored an unbeaten 30 to help his team home. Earlier, Antigua/Barbuda captain Sylvester Joseph scored a good 48 runs to his team's cause. Pedro Collins took 3/39 to lead the Bajan bowling. On debut, Fidel Edwards only snared the wicket of Anthony Lake (28) for the price of 38 runs in his 10 overs.
