ZONE B

Antigua and Barbuda VS. West Indies U-19

Rain could not stop Antigua and Barbuda from crushing their youthful opponents. From the time that the U-19 team was dismissed for just 69, it was clear who the winner would be. Indeed, that score represented a bit of a recovery after they had slumped to 28/5.

Centurion of the first game, Lendl Simmons scored just 8 and the talented team captain, Denesh Ramdin was out to the very next ball. New ball bowlers Carl Simon (2/17) and Kerry Jeremy (3/16) did the early damage, but off-spinner Anthony Lake ran through the middle order to finish with 4/19 off his 4 overs.

Due to the rain, Antigua and Barbuda were set 50 runs to win from 28 overs. As expected, they achieved this without much despair, losing only 2 wickets in the process.

West Indies U-19 - 69 ao (24.5 overs)
(L. Joseph 16, Ravi Rampaul 12*, Extras 12)
(Anthony Lake 4/19 [4], Kerry Jeremy 3/16 [6], Carl Simon 2/17 [7])

Antigua and Barbuda - 50/2 (9.1 overs)
(D. Edwards 22)
(Ravi Rampaul 1/34 [5], Matthews 1/10 [4])
