Flower to Sign for SA
Wednesday, February 26 2003Reports in Britain have revealed that Zimbabwe’s greatest ever cricketer, Andy Flower, has signed a three-year deal with the South Australian side in Australia.
Flower was linked with South Australia roughly 12 months ago and rumours have been rife in past weeks that he was to sign with an Australian state side.
The Zimbabwean stalwart’s international career now seems over following the World Cup.
Flower his world headlines for his protests against the political situation in Zimbabwe by wearing a black armband and later wristband with team-mate Henry Olonga, citing the ‘death of democracy’ in their bellowed Zimbabwe.
While South Australia have dismissed the reports, it seems highly likely that Flower will sign with the state, also continuing his career with Essex in England.
