Scots NUL place in doubt

Scotland, who were due to become the 19th team in England's Norwich Union One-Day League in the forthcoming 2003 season, have had their place thrown into doubt.
A £66,000 lottery grant, that was expected to go a long way towards funding their participation, no longer seems likely to be available.
A spokesman claimed that the Board would have needed to guarantee the Scots' qualification for the World Cup 2007 semi-finals in order to obtain the grant.
Scotland had been linked with Indian internationals Rahul Dravid and Ajit Agarkar as possible overseas signings for 2003.
