Pura Cup: NSW vs Qld

New South Wales have stormed into the Pura Cup final at the GABBA thanks to an excellent victory over Queensland at the SCG.

The home side were steamrolled for just 102 in their first innings, with West Indies tour hopeful Ashley Noffke taking 6/24 while James Hopes and Michael Kasprowicz took 2 wickets each.

For the Blues, only Brad Haddin offered resistance with 38.

Queensland were then bowled out for 190, with opener Daniel Payne making 55 and incumbent Test number 6 Martin Love 43 to continue his brilliant summer.

Stuart MacGill was the destroyer for the Blues, taking 5/52, with Simon Katich chimed in with 3/55 and Stuart Clark 2/32.

New South Wales then piled on 8/477, with Test captain Steve Waugh making 138, Michael Clarke 120 and Simon Katich 60.

James Hopes was the pick of the Bulls bowlers with 3/102 while Noffke took 2 wickets to earn 8 for the match.

Queensland were then bowled out for 148, with Love again making 43.

Stuart MacGill, promoted to open the bowling, took 4/76 to complete 9 wickets for the match while Don Nash cleaned up with 4/10.
