Perren Wins Top Award

Queensland’s unknown batsman Clinton Perren has won the prestigious Pura Cup player of the Year award following an excellent summer of run accumulation.
Perren scored 659 runs at 65.9 in just 6 matches, beating team-mate Michael Kasprowicz to the prize.
He has split this season between his favoured middle-order position and opening the batting, and looks set to play a crucial role in the Pura Cup final.
