Three changes for Kenya

Tuesday, April 1 2003

Kenya have made three enforced changes for the forthcoming Cherry Blossom Sharjah Cup in the UAE from April 3-10.

Opener Ravindu Shah is unavailable, and the veteran pair of batsman Alpesh Vadher and spinner Asif Karim, the star against Australia, have retired.

Fast bowler Jimmy Kamande has been recalled, whilst two Under-19 graduates in batsman Maurice Ouma and medium pacer Alfred Luseno earn their first full call-ups.

Kenya, whose first game will be against a Zimbabwe side in total upheaval on April 5, will be managed by Nipun Patel and coached by the UAE's Abdi Ali, after World Cup coach Sandeep Patil declined to renew his contract after the World Cup success.
