Prior and Wright pile on misery
Loughborough let slip a golden opportunity to embarrass Sussex after seamers Philip Lewis and David Wigley had reduced them to 144-6, taking three wickets apiece.
Matt Prior and Luke Wright, however, had other ideas and both hit career bests at a rapid scoring rate before Wright's dismissal for a round 100 that included 17 fours - having added 229 in 158 minutes with Prior, who cracked 201* including 30 fours and two sixes.
Hungarian passport equipped Australian seamer Jason Voros collected his first First Class scalp with the wicket of James Adams to complete the day's play.

Nash ton makes the students work
David Nash's seventh first class hundred and a rapid 81 from Jamie Dalrymple set an imposing first-innings total of 359-5, which the students didn't help through 11 no-balls costing 22 runs. After Nash fell for 113, one short of his career-best, Nick Compton - grandson of Denis - scored his first first-class runs befor the declaration.
Cambridge's reply was spearheaded by 36* from Adnan Akram, who hit seven fours in his near-run-a-ball knock to see the students to 58-2 at close against a second-string Middlesex attack.
