Cambridge: Cambridge UCCE v Middlesex
Middlesex refuse to make a game of it

Adnan Akram's brutal 133-ball 128, including 20 fours and a six, alongside Somerset man Tom Webley's more measured 93 pushed Cambridge to within two runs of Middlesex's total before declaring.

Middlesex then batted throughout the third and final day up until team as Ed Joyce (134) and Sven Koening (64) used the game as a net, setting the students 266 in a session after Tom Harvey's 3-43.

Unsurprisingly, there was never a chance of a result as Cambridge closed on 81-0.

Hove: Sussex v Loughborough UCCE
Light halts Kirtley's charge

Following Jason Voros' 4-40 in the first innings, Sussex declined the option to make Loughborough follow on and Richard Montgomerie's laboured four-hour 85 anchored Sussex to 172-6, Monty Panesar impressing with 3-28 off 20 tight overs, setting another wholly unrealistic 363.

England discard James Kirtley made the best he could of it, though, taking 3-1 in 7 overs, to reduce Loughborough to 14-4. They had recovered to 51-4, however, before the light closed in at tea.
