Cork turns the tables
Dominic Cork changed the complexion of the Lord's clash with a seven-wicket haul as he and Glenn Chapple (3-83) combined to take six Middlesex wickets for 81, including skipper Andy Strauss for 95, as the hosts stumbled to 338 all out.
Lancashire's reply was obdurate and determined as they ground to 128-1 before accepting the light in the 45th over, with Mark Chilton on 47* and Mal Loye 31*, Iain Sutcliffe having been trapped LBW by Nantie Hayward for 38.

Spin Bonuses for Northants
Near-identical figures from Northants' off-spin attack of Graeme Swann and Jason Brown reduced defending champions Sussex to 294 at the County Ground after Usman Afzaal had surpassed his career best, hitting 167* as the hosts secured maximum batting points.
They achieved the same with the ball, despite a determined 115 from Surrey reject Ian Ward, and 51 from Robin Martin-Jenkins. Swann took 4-94 and Brown 4-93 as a 106-run lead was secured before Mark Powell and Tim Roberts saw Northants through three overs to close without loss.
