Gough named in one-day squad

Wednesday, March 31 2004

Darren Gough and Steve Harmison have been recalled to England's squad for the forthcoming seven one-day internationals series against West Indies.

Gough has been recalled after missing out on the winter tours to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Gough returned from a long-term knee problem last year to help England to a NatWest series win, but since hasn't featured in the squad.

Gough is England's highest wicket-taker in the shorter version of the game.

Harmison's inclusion has been purely on the basis of outstanding performances in the first two Tests of the on-going four Test series.

Here is the enitre squad:

-Michael Vaughan (Yorkshire, captain)
-James Anderson (Lancashire)
-Gareth Batty (Worcestershire)
-Ian Blackwell (Somerset)
-Rikki Clarke (Surrey)
-Paul Collingwood (Durham)
-Andrew Flintoff (Lancashire)
-Ashley Giles (Warwickshire)
-Darren Gough (Essex)
-Stephen Harmison (Durham)
-James Kirtley (Sussex)
-Anthony McGrath (Yorkshire)
-Chris Read (Nottinghamshire, wicket-keeper)
-Andrew Strauss (Middlesex)
-Marcus Trescothick (Somerset)
