Martyn Knee Concern
Tuesday, March 30 2004Key middle-order batsman Damien Martyn, fresh from his most rewarding month in the Test side, has been cleared from serious knee damage following the Sri Lankan tour.
Martyn had been suffered from knee problems following a grueling 6-month schedule. Following an MRI scan doctors cleared the Western Australia of serious injury that would require surgery.
Instead his inflamed kneecap can be treated with intense physiotherapy. Should the treatment relieve the pain Martyn is expected to be available for the controversial Australian tour of Zimbabwe in May.
