Derbyshire sign Chris Rogers

Western Australian batsman Chris Rogers has been signed by Derbyshire to play in the 2004 English county season, as a replacement for Tasmanian Michael Di Venuto, who has pulled out due to a chronic back problem, which will require a surgery.
Rogers, who will join up with the county in early April, averaged 51.68 this season in the Pura Cup for Western Australia.
Di Venuto, who has played for the county for the past three seasons and was also named the county captain for the forthcoming season, will miss out due to the back injury he suffered during the Australian first-class season.
