Sarwan may miss 3rd Test
Thursday, April 1 2004More worries for the West Indies team, as vice-captain Ramnaresh Sarwan is reportedly suffering with a viral infection. According to coach Gus Logie, Sarwan is to remain isolated, whilst taking prescribed measures for the next 48 hours.
The news comes especially untimely as lone West Indian centurion, Devon Smith will very likely miss the third Test, starting tomorrow, with a thumb injury. The West Indies will however welcome back Fidel Edwards, after he was out for the second Test with a back ailment. Captain Brian Lara has also been nursing a dislocated finger since the second day of the first Test match.
England enter the Kensington Oval Test leading the four-match series 2-0.
