Kallis sweeps SA awards ceremony
Friday, April 23 2004Proteas all-rounder Jacques Kallis collected four awards at an annual awards ceremony in South Africa, including the country's best player of the year.
Kallis, who hit five consecutives centuries in Tests last season, also won the best Test cricketer of the year, player's player and fan's cricketer awards.
The other awards include Makhaya Ntini as the One-Day International cricketer of the year, and Jacques Rudolph as the best newcomer.
Gary Kirsten, who recently retired from international cricket, also was honored with a special life-time achievement award.
