Zimbabwean sacking set to continue
Monday, April 19 2004Three more are primed to join the sacking pile of Zimbabwean cricket. Black players Douglas Hondo, Dion Ebrahim and Mluleki Nkala are likely to join the currently fifteen (15) cricketers who have been dropped by the Zimbabwean Cricket Union, due to their voice concerning the sacking of captain Heath Streak and political interference in the game.
This will leave the national team further weakened, after they were made to name an inexperienced squad of fourteen to take on Sri Lanka in the first ODI. The three players are three of the most experienced and their presence will clearly be missed.
