Lancashire Sign Dinesh Mongia

Indian left handed batsman, Dinesh Mongia has signed a short term deal with Lancashire County Cricket Club. Mongia, 27 joins Lancashire as a replacement for West Indian veteran, Carl Hooper.
Mongia is considered to be a one day specialist, although his record in first class cricket is outstanding. Mongia, a stylish left hand batsman and a capable slow left arm spinner has made 48 ODI appearances for India, which included the World Cup Final in 2003.
Mongia was originally playing English Club Cricket for Staffordshire, but now has caught the eye of Lancashire Club Officials.
Carl Hooper will be sidelined for three weeks with a fractured thumb.
